Woman Maoist killed in encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh

A woman Maoist, who had a bounty of Rs 25 lakh on her head, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. The encounter took place in the forests of Bijapur district. The security forces recovered an INSAS rifle, a 12 bore gun, and other items from the encounter site. The operation was a joint effort by the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
