Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Nidhi Tewari has been appointed as the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tewari, a 2008-batch IFS officer, will be replacing Vikram Misri, who has been appointed as India's Ambassador to China. She has previously served in Indian missions in Hong Kong, China, and Geneva. Tewari's appointment as the Private Secretary to PM Modi has been met with positive reactions within the government circles.
